Cross Country Skiing

Nordic Skiing is a fantastic alternative to the more commonly practised downhill skiing. Avoid the crowds and soak up the beautiful scenery at your own pace.

Depending on weather conditions, you can practise your nordic skiing in the Giffre valley or for magnificent views, head up the road to the magnificent Col de Joux Plane !

ZigZag Ski offer tuition & guidance with english speaking instructors, suitable for beginner and intermediates alike.

We also recommend the 360 Ski School - ESI Samoens, whose experienced teachers and guides will help you get to grips with this new skill.

Snowshoeing

Book yourself in with Arno de Jong (Snowshoe Samoens) - escape the crowds and discover the silent beauty of the backcountry.

Arno specialises in half, full or multiple day snowshoe outings for private groups.

He can also organise: igloo building; snow safety courses; overnight stays in a refuge; snowshoe trekking.

Dog Sledding

Ice Skating
